Role Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Client Relationships, related general ledger accounts up to and including customer and general ledger account reconciliations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also assist in other areas of accounting as needed.

Locations: Paramus, NJ
Position Type: Regular Full-Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Interacts with sales personnel and Account Management in generating invoices to customers in accordance with contract terms of large Projects
  • Work with Accounting Operations Manager to implement billing processes and procedures
  • Ensure integrity of Accounts Receivable aging
  • Performs and analyze new customer credit checks 
  • Audit storage manifest ensuring accurate billing and multiple facility communications
  • Manage client communication including dispute resolutions
  • Assists with month/year-end closes 
  • Ad hoc client and Accounting department reports as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in either a Billing or Accounting Clerk role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Must have MS Office experience with strength in Excel
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Excellent phone, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven math acumen
