Platinum Winner, Customer Feedback Promotion: John Deere at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011
Working closely with John Deere's marketing partner Gyro HSR, MC2 enhanced their concept for “The Chatterbox,” a mobile recording studio, to resemble a real piece of construction equipment from John Deere. The exterior of the 8-foot x 24-foot trailer was finished with John Deere’s “Factory Yellow” paint, which is used on all of the company’s construction equipment. And, front grills, simulated stabilizer legs and John Deere logos were added to simulate real heavy equipment details.
With a theatrical unveiling, The Chatterbox was launched beside two pieces of real equipment at ConExpo/Con-AGG 2011. A giant video screen hung from the ceiling, just above The Chatterbox, that flashed campaign images and messaging. Company presenters launched The Chatterbox while sharing the stage with real customers. This helped build excitement and encouraged the audience to step inside The Chatterbox to express their opinions.
Bringing John Deere’s customer feedback program to life, The Chatterbox proved to be an engaging experience for show attendees, clearly demonstrating John Deere’s dedication to listening and responding to customer feedback. The Chatterbox saw more than 50,000 booth visitors with approximately 15,000 promo items given away for lead information. As a traveling exhibit, The Chatterbox has visited customers at trade shows, dealer locations and job sites across the U.S.
